  • Unspecified Error version 6.7.0.244

Immediately after loading logbook only and launching a cluster the unspecified error started showing up with the annoying sound effect(only annoying when it happens every few seconds hi). I've never seen it before. With each random bong it layers on a new error box and accumulates. In order to get it to go away I have to clear it. I left it on all night and this morning there were so many I couldn't clear them all and had to shut the logbook down. Yesterday it appeared to only happen only when the cluster. is connected. Not today. So I searched the archives and found the solar data comment that is no longer running. PC is i5 3.4 16 gig ram. Windows 10 latest version. Any ideas? Before v6.7.0.244 I'd never seen the error before 6.7.0.244.

I ran out of time trying to edit this and wasn't able to save the edit so here is an update:

Addendum.I thought I had the cluster off, but when I ran a different layout they stopped. I opened the band map under view/DX cluster and started hearing bong and error again. So it seems to happening when a spot comes in. The cluster may be running in the background in some way after being activated but closed.

      Hi,
Same error here with the new version of HRD and accessing the Logbook. If I click on the X (close the error window) half a dozen times as the log appears to be loading - it then stops and the logbook appears to function OK. But next time I run HRD and the logbook - it starts all over again.

Guys, I've figured out what the cause of this is. I describe it here: https://development.hamradiodeluxe.com/view.php?id=3564

While we'll take on a fix for this ASAP, the work-around is to connect to anything but an AR Cluster node. I'd recommend connecting to my node (WA9PIE-2; dxc.wa9pie.net on port 8000) and you won't have this error.

Yeah, this is one where it's rather hard to tell what change (inside our software or outside our software) caused this. I know we haven't touched this part of the code in forever.
