    Callsign lookup issue

    I've just updated to 6.7.0.244 and found that the Callsign Lookup is not working as it had in the previous release. I've gotten a few minidumps along the way. What I did discover is that if I remove QRZ.com from the Enabled Methods it will work and I can use the Test feature. The Test feature will not work and when I try and exit Callsign Lookup it seems to hang with QRZ.com enabled.

    Lloyd... there must be more to the story than that.

    Some are saying that this can happen when you have more than one database open. Can this be true in your case?

    I'm in the process of trying to write steps to reproduce this and it doesn't fail on my installations.

        Mike,

        After reading dh2id latest post I went back and tried another lookup. I got the same results as he did. Once I hit the lookup button on the log entry screen I got a valid return from QRZ after 21.5 seconds. I get similar results when using the Test feature.

        In my previous attempts, I did not wait that long.

            In the previous release I never waited that long (21 seconds) for a callsign lookup, in the past, callsign lookups responded within 2-3 seconds. As for the Test feature, I never tried that until I watched your YouTube video.

            To summarize, the callsign lookup is working but the response time is very long.

                Ok, so I too seem to have this random problem of the lookup function not working. Sometimes it works, but most times it seems I must open the edit window and click lookup. This has only happened since I upgraded to the new version. I get errors on Public and Private when I do a test, it has to be something in that api.

                  Also problem with this new release. When clicking lookup panel the whole logbook stop working. Only way to reset it is crtl+alt+del or shut down PC :(

                    QRZ lookup in the ALE window does not work and crashes the logbook. Print Avery 5160 (one of the most used templates) three column labels still does not work. DM780 still locks up and CW decoding still poor as there are many stand alone programs much better. Terrible release not ready and still rolled out for users to deal with existing problems.
