  • Icom 7300 and driver frustration

I am at a loss, trying to install the driver for the IC-7300

    Here is my info:
Imac running parallels and windows 10
    Want to run HRD
Cleaned out all Silicon Labs drivers and rebooted
Downloaded and ran Sil Labs CP210 1.3 USB to UART and rec’d messege that install was successful
In looking at applications, the driver is showing s installed

In running Device Manager there is no COMM port showing
I do a Legacy update and load the SilLab bridge, with the green folder (versus the yellow folder)
Then, the COMM port shows BT with the yellow warning triangle. No go.

Have tried this process numerous times!

    Pretty frustrated right now.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Doug

Do you have the 7300 connected when you install the drivers? If you do then you must not. You should be using v1.30.

I think I found the problem snd it may not be the driver itself, if you are using Parellels.
In Parelells, go to Configure and look at the USB settings. On mine, I could see the Silabs driver listed and the option box showed that it should be shared with Mac. I changed the sharing to Windows, did the Legacy update, in Device Msnager, and all 'seems' to be good right now.
      Will give future updates.
